Here we have a well executed 3 1/2" gauge LMS Stanier class 4 tank, to the Martin Evans' confusingly entitled 'Jubilee' design. This is essentially a brand new model, having reportedly been fired once before being retired to the builder's mantlepiece. Well built, with a little bit of extra attention to detail that the model engineering drawings don't describe. The tank rivets are done to photographs of the real ones rather than following Martin Evans' directions which always for us makes a model a little bit nicer.
All the usual bits and bobs that you'd like are there. There is an injector, an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve and of course the ubiquitous hand pump hidden in the tank. Lubrication is mechanical and under the front running board. The boiler is a nicely done silver soldered copper job, and the model can of course be fully commissioned and given a full and fresh 4 year hydraulic certificate and an annual steam test ready to hit the track and play.
